Established in 2002, our purpose is to lead the sustainable transformation of the built environment.

We Rate

We rate the sustainability of buildings, fitouts and communities through Australia’s largest national, voluntary, holistic rating system – Green Star.

We Educate

We educate industry, government practitioners and decision-makers, and promote green building programs, technologies, design practices and operations.

We Advocate

We advocate policies and programs that support our vision and purpose.

We represent 600+ members including individual companies with a collective annual turnover of more than $46 billion.

Our membership reflects the diversity of Australian business with over 400 small-to-medium enterprises through to 81 companies with annual turnover of more than $100 million and 33 companies now listed in the ASX200, with a combined market capitalisation of more than $802 billion. Our members include major developers, professional services firms, banks, superannuation funds, product manufacturers, retailers, utilities and suppliers. We also have 29 local government members, representing 26% of Australia’s population. In addition to these, we have 23 state government departments and land organisations, and 22 university/education members.

Our professional development program boasts over 1,100 people advancing their careers and building their skills through their membership with us.
